Breakdown Hoists
Package breakdown hoists engineered and built by Gillingham-Best for mill yards, planer mills, and treating plants that need controlled, reliable lowering of stacked packages for re-handling or dekwetching.
Overview
Controlled Package Handling Through Breakdown
GBI designs breakdown hoists for sawmills, planer mills, and treating plants that require positive, controlled package handling during breakdown, dekwetching, or re-handling operations. Each hoist is engineered to the mill’s package dimensions, weight range, and throughput target.
Units are built at GBI’s Spokane plant with the same heavy-duty construction philosophy as GBI stackers — rugged frames, field-serviceable hydraulic and electrical architecture, and controls that integrate cleanly with adjacent mill systems.
